Lisa Goodwin
Lisa Goodwin is the Director of Prevention Services and Community Education for The LCADA Way, in Lorain County, Ohio. Since 2006, she has served as a community advocate and educator, working to educate and support youth, parents, schools, city government, and communities, in regards to substance use and other high risk behaviors. Lisa has a true passion for being a part of a process, which encourages individuals to develop a healthy self-image and healthy relationships, as well as a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.
Shannon Perry
Shannon Perry is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist & Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist with The LCADA Way in Lorain County, Ohio. Shannon is well known for her successful efforts in creating youth-led prevention organizations – “Voices for Change” in Lorain County Schools. She has been serving and supporting youth in schools, and community members since 2014
Emily Winfield
Emily Winfield is a Prevention Specialist with four years of experience working at The LCADA Way. Emily specializes in prevention education with the focus on problem gambling and nicotine dependency. Emily has a passion for working with youth to become informed about the consequences that can come with risky behavior. Emily grew up and currently lives in Oberlin. Emily is an alumni of The University of Mount Union where she found her passion for prevention.
Itzai Ruiz
Itzai Ruiz is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant and a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter for The LCADA Way in Lorain County, Ohio. Itzai’s efforts include providing education and awareness on substance use, mental health, and suicide prevention. Itzai is bilingual and works closely with the Hispanic community, providing Spanish and English education and awareness, and available community resources. Itzai works with local community coalitions, community stakeholders, Lorain County school districts, and community centers to ensure healthy community messaging and awareness.
